Job Description and Requirements

Independently inspects aircraft and determines the nature and extent of repairs to be made, using applicable technical orders as guidelines.  Works directly on the aircraft and its components, fulfilling such tasks as removal, repair, modification and installation of parts and assemblies, such as frames, stringers, longerons, bulkheads, beams, ribs, spars, skin, cowling, brackets, faring, access doors, panels and other related items.

Troubleshoots aircraft structural repair situations in such areas as fuselage, tails, wings, cowlings, and stabilizers.  Aligns and balances component structures and airframe using precision measuring instruments and levels.

Inspects damage or deterioration and determines repair or replacement of plastic, fiberglass, composites, bonded structures, and bonded honeycomb assemblies using powered and non-powered tools and equipment.  Manufactures and ensures that metal tubing, conduits and cables are fabricated and tested in accordance with drawings and specifications.  Performs fabrication of local manufactured items requited for aircraft and equipment.  Sets up and operates power shears, brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drill presses, saws, portable powered tools, specific detection and measuring equipment, and other metal working equipment, including use of other tools of the trade.  Prepares and designs layout, dies, jigs and templates necessary to carry out fabrication repair or modification of aircraft, and other equipment.

Identifies metal corrosion. Removes corrosion by mechanical and chemical procedures to include use or portable powered (electric and pneumatic) sanders, buffers, brushes, bead blasters, vacuum cleaners, scrapers, grinders, acids, caustics, solvents, alcohols and other agents used in corrosion control processes.  Applies protective coatings, markings, and decals after proper removal of corrosion and treatment of metals.  Identifies, blends, stores, controls, and disposes of hazardous materials such as acids, caustics, alcohols, solvents, cleaners, primers and surface coatings used for corrosion removal, treatment and protection in accordance with applicable directives.

Aviation Mechanic Assistant

 

Mechanic Assistant is responsible for Assisting Aircraft Mechanics in servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines, and performing any combination of given tasks including but not limited to adjusting and replacing parts such as control cables, fuel tanks, spark plugs, tires, batteries and filters, and using mechanic's tools. Experience with automotive body repair a plus. Must be willing to learn new tasks and take direction. Inventory and part sales assistant/support

 

Responsibilities
• Successfully locating sources and fulfilling all of customer’s requirements
• Contacting sources and obtaining price, condition, and availability for each requirement
• Communicating effectively and maintaining a professional relationship with vendors and customers
• Processing sale orders and purchase orders
• Locate and obtain price, condition, and availability from sources
• Enter quotes and updates information into Quantum ERP system
• Understanding of general aviation part tagging; part identification; and general paperwork
processing and required documentation.
• Process and support daily Request for Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and arrange shipments

• Quantum Component Control ERP system experience with inventory required
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English

Aircraft Parts Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description and Requirements

The Purchasing Coordinator shall carryout the activities of the Purchasing Department in accordance with the Company polices and applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.  This position requires the Purchasing Coordinator to interact with the business community, vendors and staff to facilitate information exchange and improve purchasing participation.The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Inventory Coordinator in maintaining necessary levels of inventory stock and reporting shortages or production needs to the Inventory Coordinator as necessary.  The position is responsible for compiling inventory reports and lists for review and records by the Inventory Coordinator.  The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for counting and sorting of incoming stock; assisting in packaging and labeling of stock into inventory and reporting stock to the Inventory Department Coordinator according to both Company and FAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare annual purchasing calendar with key dates and timelines for the purchase of goods and services; Assist with needs of prospective or active vendors/contractors who do business with the Company and advise vendors/contractors of Company policies and procedures according to FAA regulations and Company manufacturing specifications and ensure these are followed in accordance to such regulations; Participate in instructional supply and equipment committees as needed; Keep abreast of technical, legislative and professional trends and developments affecting assigned materials and vendors and disseminate this information to appropriate personnel; Provide technical assistance in the development of implementation plans in the Purchasing Department so that it may improve its productivity, efficiency and effectiveness; Adhere to federal, state and local regulations relation related to bidding, purchasing process and Company production procedures; Maintain and adhere to ethical business practices within the Purchasing Department; Assist the internal and external auditors during the Company’s annual financial audit as it relates to purchasing; Review and authorize purchases associated with Company policies to ensure they do not exceed amounts authorized; Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

The Purchasing Coordinator will establish supplier and 3rd party networks which enable access to information about important market trends and competitive position of supply base.  Additionally, develop and communicate comprehensive supply strategies for raw materials which provide Texas Turbine Conversions, Inc. with a competitive advantage in terms of total cost and supply reliability.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Negotiate  advantaged raw material contracts across our North American sites, in close cooperation with other business teams, legal, manufacturing and technology/R&D           
  • Communicate internally and lead the resolution of supplier performance issues, and identify/manage improvement opportunities

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation as related to RMA and Vendor Corrective Action as required by Company’s manufacturing specifications and FAA regulations.

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and processing all warranty claims and customer/vendor correspondence associated with proper identification and handling of the warranty claim including but not limited to investigation of claim.

Monitor and understand materials life cycle cost and identify opportunities for material cost reductions.
